Hi! My name is Rachael ....aka @frontporchproperties.

I'm a licensed builder and the founder and owner of my construction business, Front Porch Properties.

I'm a dog mum to 2 senior staffies, Benji and Billie, and I'm very passionate about building & design. 

Believe it or not, I'm a trained classical pianist and after completing a degree in classical piano at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, I taught and ran a music school for nearly a decade. Then at the age of 30 I decided to take the big leap and chase my dreams, diving into the world of construction & design, a passion I've had since I was a little girl. 

I went on to get my builder's license - this took me 5 years! - and was one of the hardest, but most rewarding challenges of my life. My business has been growing since then and I've managed to get a bunch of Master Builder industry awards under my belt.

Our construction calendar is heavily booked and my in-person consultation calendar is notoriously full!  I therefore wanted to create an affordable way to share my insider knowledge and expertise with more people (not just those who live in my city!)  Hence, I've created the "Your Dream Bathroom" renovation course. 

With the increasing cost of materials and trades, I've recognised that people are keen to save money by learning how to manage their own bathroom renovation. I've put together everything you will need to know to help you move from feeling overwhelmed and stressed, to confident and capable.

I'm passionate about excellent, beautiful design, but as a licensed builder, I'm also completely across the construction side of things too.
